New York Islanders through 11...

Forwards - C+ -

Let's start off with the good...

+ Josh Bailey is showing signs of 1st line playmaker potential. Although he has slowed down recently due to injury, he'll steadily progress through the season. Blake Comeau is showing he is a solid 2nd line winger.

+ John Tavares has started off as expected... The rebounds always find his stick, he's always in the right place and hes deadly on the pp. We can expect 30+ goals this season...

+ We have drastically improved in the faceoff circle... Zenon is a beast and JT is not far behind...

+ Nino showed he can belong in a season or 2...

+ Matt Martin should complete a solid 4th line of Gillies-Konopka-Martin... lets not waste him on 2nd and 3rd line shifts...

And now the bad...

- Doug Weight should not be on the powerplay. Way too many passes on the PP, and lacking the big screen in front... would love to see Tavares drift in on point shots more...

- I know the system calls for an aggressive forecheck, but there are wayyyy to many odd man rushes... seems many guys are struggling to get back and help on D...

Islander team ratings through 11...

Josh Bailey - B+ - Bailey started off hot and showed great potential with amazing vision and hockey sense... but he has slowed down possibly due to the hip injury.
